100% APRONYMS (28)A Perfectly Reasonable Option? No, You Mangy Sonafabitch! Word Nerd This came to me as I was looking at NYMS today, my first visit to your site. Coming from a background in which I routinely read trials about blood pressure and heart-related issues, almost all of which have an apronym attached, this is something I've engaged in over lunch and coffee for years, as in: The "Bitch" Trial, i.e., Best Innovation to Control Hypertension, and so on. Thank you for giving creative outlet for my frustrations! :)

100% RUNTIME SYSTEMRarely Used, Not That I Mind... Everything's So Yucky & Slow That Engineers Murder! Angela Brett, who actually loves things like HyperTalk and Objective-C for their runtime systems. 'Rarely Used, Not That I Mind' was just too good to resist. Slowness is about the only possible criticism of runtime systems, and I don't notice that. (Perhaps Mope would be a better M word, but I don't agree with the expansion anyway.)

100% STEVESwings To Extremes Very Erratically. Angela Brett, describing Steve Jobs according to what she's read about him. (If he happens to be reading this... hey, no offense... oh great, all-powerful iCEO (who owns lots of G3s and therefore deserves my respect.) You're doing a great job, just as long as you don't can HyperCard. :)

83% SUCCESSFULSeveral Unreal C-words Confirm Extended Storage Space Functions Unerringly - at Last! Angela Brett, after testing this stack's ability to use 'ESS' (Extended Storage Space - some scripts I wrote to get around the fact that HyperCard only allows 30,000 characters in each field) by adding 250 fake acronyms beginning with C. And surprisingly - for one would expect there to be at least one small probem - all of the tests were successful. Which means that, should all you acronymists out there send in more than about 260 average-length acronyms all beginning with the same letter, the stack will still function normally. Well, it's always good to be prepared for the future.
